As a member of “Waterside Supporter of Arakawa River”, we have been conducting environmental conservation activities such as the extermination of the invasive alien species and the observation events since 2012.
This program has been implemented under “the Arakawa River Downstream, Natural Land Management Adopted System” that promotes the maintenance and conservation of the river environment.
In the morning session, the program was co-hosted by the Tokyo Scout Council Sakura District and the Environmental Squadron STE-Ranger, and included trash pickup and the living creatures observation event. In the afternoon session, our employees exterminated invasive alien plants and conducted an environmental study session.
We will continue to work in collaboration with the local community to preserve the river environment.
